No, we must not kill ourselves. Life is precious. I was speaking with my sister yesterday, and she asked me, “How accurate is the content on Google?” I reported that I was not sure. However, she then went on to tell me about a vulnerable young girl who went on a website where you could create your own poll, to get the opinions of others, and she asked should I kill myself?
The response was that 68 percent of the people who filled in her poll said yes, so the girl killed herself.
Not sure how true this story is, but how insane is the internet when it comes to vulnerability when mental illness is rampant and 1 in 4 of us may eventually struggle? Where is the love and care?
Some people are just reaching out desperate for love and don’t know where to turn, and sadly if this story is true, a lot of people have a seared conscious who participated in a death that was so unwarranted.
May God have mercy on us all. All we need to do is to read the Holy Bible and see that our condition is worsening.
28 And even as they did not like to retain God in their knowledge, God gave them over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient; 29 being filled with all unrighteousness, fornication, wickedness, covetousness, maliciousness; full of envy, murder, debate, deceit, malignity; whisperers, 30 backbiters, haters of God, despiteful, proud, boasters, inventors of evil things, disobedient to parents, 31 without understanding, covenantbreakers, without natural affection, implacable, unmerciful: 32 who knowing the judgment of God, that they which commit such things are worthy of death, not only do the same, but have pleasure in them that do them – Romans 1:28-32
How accurate is this?
This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. 2 For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, 3 without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, – 2 Timothy 3:1-3
