A current Coronavirus solution there may not be in the social media, as it is daily upon our news, every hour, every day. We are told to social distance ourselves from people. Even on a walk today, there is very little eye contact and not much courtesy in a hello. We are not the enemy. We are told the numbers of coronavirus instances in the UK, and worldwide, and apparently Boris Johnson has caught Covid-19, but I’d just like to reassure you that God is in control and the Coronavirus solution is Jesus Christ. God is aware of the struggles in this world, and he has given us peace, hope, and joy in His word.
Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof – Matthew 6:34
Fear thou not; for I am with thee: be not dismayed; for I am thy God: I will strengthen thee; yea, I will help thee; yea, I will uphold thee with the right hand of my righteousness – Isaiah 41:10
Coronavirus may be very real, and yes it can kill, but the coronavirus solution is Jesus Christ.
Upon our trust in Jesus Christ as our wages for sin, the sinless lamb of God who became sin for us and paid our sin wage on the cross, we can rest knowing that when we die we go straight into the presence of Him.
But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us – Romans 5:8
For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him – 2 Corinthians 5:21
No doubt, God is using this coronavirus to bring people to faith in Christ. The Holy Spirit is always at work causing conviction of sin in humankind. The unpardonable sin today is to reject Jesus Christ.
8 And when he is come, he will reprove the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment: 9 of sin, because they believe not on me; – John 16:8-9
Contrary to what the world teaches, trusting in our goodness as humans cannot save us. This is the false religion of earning merit with God as is taught today. It is easy to be religious and opposed to the way of salvation as God intended it. However, scripture is clear that works cannot save us because we have an inherited sin nature, and sin separates us from God. The Coronavirus may kill but the Coronavirus solution is Jesus Christ.
For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: 9 not of works, lest any man should boast – Ephesians 2:8-9
Jesus paid for our sin on the cross. He was buried, and three days later rose from the dead victoriously proving that He had made the satisfactory payment for sin.
but this man, after he had offered one sacrifice for sins for ever, sat down on the right hand of God; – Hebrews 10:12
and be found in him, not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith – Philippians 3:9
Jesus paid for the sins of everyone in the world, but only those who receive this payment through faith in the person and work of Jesus Christ, are saved.
and he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world – 1 John 2:2
All praise and glory for salvation, God has given to His only begotten son, Jesus Christ. God does not want anyone to perish, and the only Coronavirus solution against death is Jesus Christ.
The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance – 2 Peter 3:9
3 For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our Saviour; 4 who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth. 5 For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus; – 1 Timothy 2:3-5
Upon trust in Christ, we are reborn with the Holy Spirit and receive the righteousness of God. We can know that we have eternal life when we trust in Christ. Scripture makes this clear.
Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me hath everlasting life – John 6:47
Whosoever denieth the Son, the same hath not the Father: [but] he that acknowledgeth the Son hath the Father also – 1 John 2:23
He that believeth on the Son of God hath the witness in himself: he that believeth not God hathmade him a liar; because he believeth not the record that God gave of his Son – 1 John 5:10
He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life – 1 John 5:12
These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God – 1 John 5:13
Jehovah God is an amazing saviour, who took on human flesh and paid for our sin because He loves us that much, and grants us access to this gift through simple belief in His Son. Why would anyone want to reject such a precious gift of everlasting life by the Creator of heaven and earth?
The government and scientists may not yet have a Coronavirus solution, as it has come to the UK and the world on lockdown, but God is in control. Keep your eyes on Christ and be strengthened by His Word. The Coronavirus solution is Jesus Christ. Pray for the world and our leaders, maintain gratitude, and be kind and gracious toward one another.
