There are many celebrities who expose themselves through such vanity, gossiping against one another and causing divide and hate. I don’t read the news much, but sometimes the pettiness of today’s news just makes me want to speak about its vanity.
Snoop Dogg likes to smoke marijuana (which isn’t anything to bragg about, in my opinion as it’s an addictive substance), and said that Paul Gascoigne’s looks had been ruined by alcohol addiction, which is a difficult substance to quit.
Looks fade, Snoop. Skin sags, age creeps up on everyone. If you are not aging as fast as some people, thank the good Lord instead of mocking others. Paul Gascoigne should not have barked back.
What matters is the heart, and it is the heart that God looks at, not external appearance. The world’s philosophy, unfortunately, has it all wrong.
7 But the Lord said unto Samuel, Look not on his countenance, or on the height of his stature; because I have refused him: for the Lord seeth not as man seeth; for man looketh on the outward appearance, but the Lord looketh on the heart – 1 Samuel 16:7
Souls matter to God. Souls matter to Satan. He has deceived most of the world. He hates God.
At the end of the day, when petty celebrity spats create today’s gossip amongst humankind, what will it matter in eternity? Souls matter right now at this moment, while there is still time. The reason why vain celebrity gossip like this exists is down to sin. It exists in us all.
For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord – Romans 6:23
People need to hear the good news of Jesus Christ and the amazing gift of eternal life that He has for each of us through simple belief.
These things have I written unto you that believe on the name of the Son of God; that ye may know that ye have eternal life, and that ye may believe on the name of the Son of God – 1 John 5:13
